Photo Day Ready

Please make sure to have the property completely ready before we arrive.

This brief list will help prevent issues and keep the flow of the shoot on track.

Declutter

Declutter and remove personal items such as family photos, excessive decorations, and collectibles. Your photos will be on the internet and the internet is forever.

Eye Appeal

Arrange pillows, cushions, and throws to enhance the visual appeal of sofas and chairs.  Hide cables and cords from electronics and appliances as much as possible.

Kitchen

Clean all kitchen appliances, including the oven, stovetop, microwave, and refrigerator.  Remove any magnets or personal items from the refrigerator. 

Clean

Clean and tidy up all rooms, including floors, countertops, and furniture surfaces.  Dust and wipe down all surfaces, vacuum or sweep floors to ensure they are free of dirt and debris.

Lighting

All lights on, including lamps and ceiling fans off during the shoot.  Ensure all light bulbs are working and replace any burnt-out bulbs.

Clear

 Clear off countertops, removing small appliances and kitchen utensils.

Hide trash cans if possible.  

Pick up rugs.

Rooms

Make beds and ensure bedding and pillows are neat and well arranged.  Remove personal items from nightstands and dressers.  Arrange furniture in a visually appealing manner while keeping a corner accessible.  Hide any cords or cables from electronic devices, if possible.

Bathrooms

Clean mirrors.  Remove used towels, fresh fluffy towels are okay for the day of the shoot.  Clear the vanity of personal hygiene tools.  Declutter shampoo, lotions, soaps, cosmetics as much as possible.  Pick up rugs and mats, think hotel style for the shoot.

Yard

Remove any visible signs of trash or clutter from the yard.  Trim and maintain the lawn, hedges, and trees for a neat appearance.  Store outdoor equipment, toys, and personal items out of sight.  Sweep or hose down the driveway, walkways, and patio areas.

Pets

Remove any visible signs of pets, including food bowls and litter boxes if possible.  Pets should be contained or o site for the day of the shoot if possible. The MLS does not allow pets in photos and we work faster if we are not distracted by your best friend.

Exterior

Clean the exterior of the house, including windows, doors, and walls. Old mud dobbers and wasp nests are noticeable.

Vehicles

Remove vehicles from the driveway and front of the house.
